Minimal equipment. Stunning results.
Before the big day, I spend time getting to know you and your story as a couple.
My role in your wedding is not only to capture the day, but to make you feel completely relaxed while I am doing it.
Learning about you both and understanding your vision for your wedding day enables me to pick out the key moments, capture the details important to you and produce a film that feels truly personal.
On the day
My approach is discreet, I’m there to enhance your day and make sure everyone feels relaxed on film.
To fully capture key moments such as the ceremony and speeches, I’ll ask those speaking to wear a small lapel mic. No one will notice, but it enables me to record clear audio of the words spoken and authentically weave them into your final film.
For most of the day, I shoot things as they naturally unfold. For a small section of the day, I will give you a little extra direction so you will never feel like you don’t know what to do and I can get those beautiful cinematic shots of you both.
You will notice my films are not all the same, because none of my couples are the same. My editing style is modern, fun and far from conventional.
I like to think I’m an expert in music selection and I spend hours (sometimes days!) finding the perfect track to complement your wedding film. The music I choose is always from a premium supplier and will never feel tacky or predictable.
Every wedding is unique, and every film is bespoke.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN YOU FILMING GET IN THE WAY OF OUR WEDDING?
I like to be pretty discreet, the last thing I want is to be a hindrance to your big day. The only time I may ask for your time is just before speeches to mic up . I also ask for a little time alone time with the bride and groom to get some couples shots!
WHERE WILL YOU TRAVEL AND DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?
I’m based in the south west of england in Somerset, but happy to travel anywhere. I have shot weddings all over the country and abroad! Travel costs for the most of the southwest is free, but I do ask for an additional cost if travelling further afield especially if an overnight stay is required. Any extra charge will be made known prior to booking.
CAN WE CHOOSE OUR MUSIC ON OUR WEDDING FILM?
Unfortunately, copyright laws protect many of today’s “popular” songs. Using the songs in a video without permission from the appropriate party is copyright infringement; therefore, it is illegal, although Sparks Film pays various websites that offer tasteful music that fit your wedding film perfectly. To this date I have never had a single complaint in music choice.
WHY AREN'T YOUR FILMS LONGER THAN 12-14 MINUTES?
As a creator my main goal is to produce a wedding film that anyone can watch, find engaging and entertaining! In my opinion long drawn out films can be boring and lacking in feeling. I like to create something that is shorter but has an impact! I shoot throughout the day getting the shots that add value to your wedding film.
